APEEE services on Wednesday 7 October

Dear Parents,

As you know, a strike is announced for 7 October which is likely to affect public transport.

  • The advice from our transport office, based on previous experience, is that we plan to run a full bus service on Wednesday 7 October since no major disruptions should be expected. For the afternoon, since some of our bus monitors will most likely not be able to get to school these buses will have no monitor aboard. This may result in some pupils being allowed to leave the bus without an adult being present at the stop. We therefore ask parents in such cases to take the necessary measures and we confirm that it is your decision whether your child will take the bus.
  • We have also offered to the teachers to use the APEEE bus service on that day in order to get to school.
  • The canteen will also offer its normal Wednesday service.
  • Extra-curricular activities will all be maintained. If a monitor does not arrive on time, the supervision team will take care of the pupils.

We expect 7 October to be a normal teaching day, as it will be a normal working day in the European institutions.

Kind regards,
