APEEE supports HeforShe week
The new EEB2 Feminist Club is organising a HeforShe week in the European School from 12 to 16 November 2018. During the week the pupils will explore the importance of feminism for everyone, regardless of gender. Every day has a specific theme, and various lunchtime activities will be organised. You can find out more in the programme.
The week is inspired by the UN Women’s HeforShe campaign, which aims at expanding the network of male allies to work with women and girls to bring about equality of the sexes. You can watch Emma Watson explain the HeforShe campaign in her eloquent speech to the United Nations.
The EEB2 Feminist Club have also created an online pledge that you can sign if you want to be a champion for feminism.
The Parent’s association (APEEE) supports this initiative as we think that awareness of equal rights should be encouraged at an early age. We therefore hope that as many as possible can take part in the many activities.
