How to avoid our emails from going to your spam/junk box


Hotmail, Windows and MSN

If an email from us (secretariat.apeee@woluweparents.org)  has ended up in your junk folder, the process is simple.

  1. Click on the email.
  2. Click “Show Content” to view the body of the email.
  3. Click “mark as safe“.


YAHOO!

Highlight the email (newsletter, or other email from APEEE that you received in your “spam” “junk” folder) and click on the “Not Spam” icon. Future emails from woluweparents.org should now automatically go to your inbox.

OR

  1. Sign in to your Yahoo! Mail
  2. Point to Settings menu and click Settings.
  3. Click Filtersand then Add.
  4. Enter a Filter Name.
  5. In Sender, type org
  6. Select Inbox as the folder to deliver the email to.
  7. Click Save and then click Save


GMAIL

Highlight the email (newsletter, or other email from APEEE that you received in your “spam” “junk” folder) and click on the “Not Spam” button. Future emails from woluweparents.org should now automatically go to your inbox.

OR

  1. Sign in to your gmail.com account.
  2. On the upper right, click on  IL_ActionMenuMail.png and then click Settings.
  3. Click Filters and Blocked Addresses and then click Create a new filter.
  4. In Domain or From, type org
  5. Click Create filter with this search.
  6. In When a message arrives that matches this search select Never send it to spam.
  7. Click the Create filter


Mac OS X and MacOS Mail

To whitelist all email from a specific domain in the Mail app in Mac OS X or macOS:

  1. Select Mail Preferences from the menu bar in Mac OS X Mail.
  2. Click the Rules 
  3. Click Add Rule.
  4. Type a name in the Description field, such as “Whitelist: woluweparents.org” to identify the new rule.
  5. Make sure the criteria reads If any of the following conditions are met and that the From field is followed by Ends with.
  6. Enter the domain name you want to whitelist in the field next to the Ends with  Add an @sign before the domain name to make the filter specific. For example, to whitelist all mail from the woluweparents.org domain type “@woluweparents.org” into the field.
  7. Click the plus sign next to the last condition to add another domain with the same criteria if you want to whitelist several domains.
  8. In the Perform the following actions section set the three fields to Move Message, to the mailbox, and Inbox or a different target folder.
  9. Click OK to save the rule.
  10. Close the Rules


OUTLOOK OR MICROSOFT 365

  1. click right on the email (newsletter, or other email from APEEE that you received in your “spam” “junk” folder). 
  2. select junk mail.
  3. select never block this sender.
  4. once done, drag and drop the email in your regular inbox.


ICLOUD

  1. Click the Junk folder in the sidebar. 
  2. Select the message or messages, then click the Not Junk button in the top right of the message window.
  3. The message is moved to your Inbox. Subsequent messages from the same sender are no longer automatically marked as junk, but could end up in the junk folder.
  4. To receive all of the APEEE emails, click the Show Actions Menu button in the sidebar, then choose Rules.
  5. If you do not see the sidebar, see Show or hide the sidebar in Mail on iCloud.com.
  6. Click Add a Rule, then specify the filtering conditions.
  7. In the “Name or email address” field, enter a sender’s full or partial name, a complete email address or an email address domain (the part of the email address after the @ symbol, for example woluweparents.org). S0113_AddRule.png
    1. Use the Then pop-up menus to set up the behaviour of the rule.
    2. Click Done.
